Stimulating Students' Creativity with Tasks Solved Using Precomputation and Visualization

Abstract

We analyze types of tasks in which the (easiest) solutions require performing experiments. Good visualization of the results of such precomputation helps to make the key observations required to solve the task. We also discuss the interconnections between such task types and experimental research, including the issue of computer-aided proofs.
